the themes of light and dark have always held deep fascination for me. to think about darkness and it being destroyed by a force of light is a strong visual image of what occurs in the kingdom of God. the Bible is riddled with examples and passages that discuss darkness and light.
and talks of us being light…being filled with light…bringing light…that we were created as lights in a dark world.
to bring truth. hope. justice. grace. freedom. to be a FORCE.
that image to me stands out above all else. the FORCE of light.
it speaks of strength. of a warrior. of one who is willing to do what it takes to destroy the darkness that seeks to steal the life of so many…and instead be filled and overwhelmed with Light.
where are people living in darkness? where are people having the hardest time believing that you’re GOOD, Lord?
send me there…so that the light that is in me, created by You, might shine.
